The last twenty plus years spent in the Packaging Machinery Industry……….
Prior to Conax, Peter worked for over 10 years with Tronics, a large Labelling Machine manufacturer where he gained a very wide range of label application and industry experience. The following highlights Peter’s labelling experience.
- Automotive batteries and brake assemblies
- Pet food trays and resealable bags
- Flavoured, Standard Milk Bottles and yoghurt tubs both at the bottle maker and in the dairy
- Slow and high speed juice / beverage lines including wine, beer stubbies, and tetra brik packs for exports
- Foods such as dips tubs, antipasto’s, olives, ice-cream buckets, tapered seafood containers and various shaped fruit containers
- Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care items, full and empty plastic squeeze tubes, lipsticks, shampoos, conditioners and sunscreens
- Paint cans – aerosol cans through 10 litre tins
- Agricultural and cleaning chemicals containers including methylated spirits type bottles where the labels are applied relative to the Poisons Panel
- Drills, taps and cutting tools
- Many of these applications had generic labels that were printed with the Product Descriptions, Numbers, Barcodes, Batch Numbers and or Best Before Dates
- Tamper evident labelling and shrink sleeve applicators
- RF – anti theft tag application
- Sold and serviced roll fed labellers (as per a coke bottle type label)
- Assisted customers with short term label application equipment for marketing - promotional / activities
During the last 4 years he had also dealt with product coding applications via continuous inkjet printers, drop on demand large character printers, the latest laser coders, label web numbering and thermal transfer printers for food, chip and coffee bags, etc.
Prior to Tronics, Peter spent 6 years representing Fogg Filler Co specialising in beverage filler capping systems, bottle rinsers, bottle unscramblers, conveyors and full turn key production systems to the dairy, juice, drinking yoghurt, water and beverage industries throughout Australia, NZ and South East Asia.
Prior to Fogg, Peter worked as a Sales/Service Technician for Packmatic.
Peter also successfully completed extensive studies in Industrial Pneumatics - Design, Hydraulics and Electronics as well as Management.
Peter’s experience has given him a very good understanding of packaging equipment, its durability and how it fits into and effects the entire production line.

Dominic Wong - Mechanical Engineer
The last 7 plus years spent in the Packaging Machinery Industry……….
Dominic holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, and has senior memberships in various engineering, management and export institutions in Australia and abroad.
Starting off his career as a mechanical engineer at Tronics, a large Labelling Company in Melbourne, he progressed on to head the Engineering Department after 2 years. Responsibilities include guiding the team of 8 engineers to further advance the design of machines, and to fulfil customer orders.
Dominic then progressed on to the export department of the same company, taking up the role of Export Manager. Duties include continuos monitoring of the profit/loss of the department, actively market the machines to new international territories, and assist all foreign agents. Of particular note is the setup of a new subsidiary office in Malaysia. That office has been profitable from day one, and has added significantly to the profitability of the export department.
